VACANCY: CENTRE MANAGER

The Board of the Cavan Centre are seeking to employ a Centre Manager,
post to commence early
*. The Centre is long established out of its
relationship with Dublin’s north inner city. It targets
individuals, groups and families particularly from socio-economic
disadvantaged areas. Throughout
the year it offers breaks and holidays, respite, training, using
adventure sports and experiential
learning.

The position requires a person with energy and enthusiasm to drive the
work and vision of the
Centre.

The ethos of the Centre is open and welcoming, inclusive, respectful
of diversity and difference.

The post will involve a balance between work on site and remote
working.

DETAILS:

Salary in line with Dept. of Education CDYSB Youth Service Manager
Hours: * hours per week, to include evening and
weekend work when necessary;
Holidays: * days annually (subject to the needs
of the centre) to rise;
Clean Driving Licence;
Reporting to the Board of Directors/Management
Post is subject to Garda Vetting and there will be a probationary
period

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL: 3/4 OF THE FOLLOWING:

* A qualification in a relevant discipline: Youth/Community
Development,
* Management/Administration, H.R.
* Considerable experience in Youth/Community Development.
* Experience in management of a similar organisation.
* Experience of leading and managing staff, teams, volunteers,
including staff supervision.
* Experience in Finance: to provide accurate, up-to-date accounts
for Board meetings; fulfil U.B.U. requirements; prepare accounts for
the annual audit; meet Charity Regulator requirements; understanding
of funding applications, fund-raising and insurance cover.
* Good Communication skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of policy,
procedure, guidelines for safe
professional practice and adhere to the relevant legislation,
regulation and standards, ensuring staff
and volunteer compliance.
He/she will ensure the Centre’s development and upkeep.
He/she will respect the ethos and mission statement of the Centre.
He/she will work with the relevant statutory and voluntary agencies.
